19th Century French Travelers Porcelain Tea Service Boxed
19th century French Travelers Porcelain Tea Service, marquetry wood box with porcelain tea set, with pink satin lining, comprising teapot, two cups and saucers, two sterling spoons, a covered sugar bowl, two round stoppered fluted glass bottles with silver caps, two small fluted glass bottles with silver caps (one with stopper, one without), one small glass cup, tongs and funnel. Porcelain is hand painted with gilt, all unmarked except for sugar bowl. There is one vacant compartment. Box has dual handles, keyhole and drop ring pull. Measurements: Box 13.625 inches wide x 11 inches deep x 6.375 inches height.

Box has sunned areas, scratches, some small area of missing inlay. Wear and soiling to satin. Restoration to saucers, one with staples.

Factory origin fissure to inside lip of teapot. Hairline to lid of sugar bowl, with possible repair. Cannot remove stopper from one of the larger bottles. Dings and bruises to silver caps. We have a fine selection of quality items for sale at Amphora Art & Antiques.
