Antique Z. S & Co Hand Painted IRMA Tea Set 1880's +
S & Co Hand Painted "IRMA" Tea Set 1880's +. & Co Bavaria (Zeh Scherzer & Co) IRMA pattern, hand painted tea set, to include a petite tea pot with lid, open sugar and creamer. Each piece is decorated with garlands of blue Forget Me Not flowers with yellow centers and green leaves, lighter French Blue on the handles, tea pot spout and and the molded areas. The base of each piece is molded with acanthus leaf decoration. The open sugar and creamer have more flowers on the inside.
Bright gold gilt trims the scalloped rims and much of the decoration of each piece including the teapot lid and fancy finial. All over wonderful color combination. It looks like it has only ever been displayed.
Marked on the reverse of each piece in Green, Z. & Co Bavaria and IRMA, used from the 1880's. Teapot measures approx 6 1/2" wide from handle to end of spout, stands approx 5" tall to the top of the finial, top of teapot is approx 3 3/8 in diameter. Open Sugar measures approx 4" in diameter, stands approx 2 1/2" tall.Creamer measures approx 3 3/4" wide spout to handle, stands approx 3 1/2" tall at the spout. Very good antique condition to commensurate with age and use.
