Child Miniature Porcelain French Tea & Luncheon Set c 1880 1910
Child Miniature Porcelain French Tea & Luncheon Set c 1880 - 1910. This is a porcelain early child miniature Tea and Luncheon Set that was probably made in France, c 1880 - 1910.

The pieces are in a very white, light weight porcelain with delightfully entertaining transfers of farmyard chickens with eggs and chicks, a rooster, children playing, sailing, and watering, a few circus characters as well, and a dog. There are pink and green rosebuds decorating the back of the tea cups, some of the plates, and other pieces, and with gold/gilt on the borders with an inner circle and accenting the feet of the pieces and the handles and finials. The tea cups along with the Teapot, Sugar, and Creamer are elevated on three tiny feet. This Tea & Luncheon Set consists of.

(1) Teapot with Lid: 5" W x 3.25" D x 4.5 H. Knob on Lid has been glued.

(1) Sugar with Lid: 3" W with 3" D x 3.75 H. Chip to the back edge, and chip to Lid.

(1) Creamer: 2.75" W x 2.5" D x 4 H. (4) Cups: 3" D x 2.25" D x 2.25 H. (4) Saucers: 4.5 D x. (4) Lunch Plates: 3.75 D. (4) Petit Fours Plates: 2.75 D. (2) Round Platters: 3.625 D. (2) 8-Sided Serving Dishes: 2.5" W x 3" D.

(1) Oval Serving Dish: 4" Long x 2.5" W. (1) Sauce Boat with attached Underplate: 3" W x 1.625" D.

Please pardon the white glare reflections in the photos. This child's Tea and Luncheon Set has been played with and cherished by a child and is in excellent condition with the exceptions above. This is an early porcelain set and is attractive for its entertaining transfers and display value.

The gold/gilt is also in excellent condition. Minor typical firing imperfections sporadically appear consistent with production from this period of time. Presented as is and as found. A large inventory of Antique miniature and children's porcelain and pottery dishes which includes tea, dinner, and dessert sets, and accessories exists.
