Complete Limoges Latrille finest porcelain Gold antique 19th century Monogram

This is a stunning and exceptionally rare French Limoges gold monogrammed fine porcelain Coffee/tea set dating from the 19th century. We cannot emphasise enough how rare it is to find a complete set - as originally made- 12 Cups and 12 saucers - with a large Coffee Pot, Creamer and lidded sugar bowl. It is from the Latrille factory in Limoges and this set dates from 1880 -1898 - Latrille had a reputation for producing some of the finest Monogrammed Table ware and coffee sets - they produced Monogrammed table ware for many distinguished Families throughout France - their sets used 24 carat gold on all the gilding detail. Each piece is stamped on the base. The monogram is quite difficult to decipher as it is embellished and entwined - I believe there to be and R, an M and a J. The coffee Pot has a completely golden spout and handle and the monogram is on both sides. The lidded sugar bowl is monogrammed both sides with double gilded handles.

The Milk Jug /Creamer has a monogram below the spout and a fully golden handle. On each cup the monogram is opposite the handle and each cup has a fully golden handle. It is complete and perfect- with light wear only in places.

Condition -Excellent antique condition - no crazing, cracks or chips or repairs - there is light wear to the gilding on the saucers. The Gold detail on Pot, Sugar bowl and creamer are in magnificent condition - with little - almost non existent rub to the gilding. Truly amazing for the age - There are a few teeny flecks under the glaze which is typical in porcelain production and a service of this date.
