Dresden Hand Painted Floral & Heavy Gold Demitasse Set Pot Creamer Sugar & Cups. Late 19th or early 20th century porcelain demitasse set including demitasse pot, creamer, sugar, tray, two cups and one saucer. Each piece is decorated with hand painted flowers in pink, purple, blue, yellow, orange and white flowers over a heavy gold background. The flowers have a gold frame with gold stripes and designs. The demitasse pot has a figural head to the spout and another figural head in white where the handle is attached.
The sugar has white figural heads at the bottom and the creamer and cups have a white figural head on the inside where the top of the handle is attached. The various Dresden studios were famous for painted gold flowers over the marks on pieces they decorated. All pieces are unmarked except for the tray, but they are an original matching set.These have some minor wear to the gilding. However please note that there is two cups and only one saucer. The demitasse pot measures approximately 5 3/8 inches wide from spout to handle x 7 inches tall to the top of the lid finial. The creamer measures approximately 3 5/8 inches wide from spout to handle x 5 1/2 inches tall. The sugar measures approximately 4 1/4 inches wide from spout to handle x 5 7/8 inches tall. Each cup measures approximately 3 1/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 7/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide. The tray measures approximately 13 3/4 inches long x 9 1/2 inches wide x 7 1/8 inches tall. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the pieces.
