For sale we have this amazing rare 1960's Portmeirion Pottery Coffee Set in White. This 15 (fifteen) set piece was designed by Susan Williams-Ellis and was produced in 1964 in the town of Stoke on Trent, United Kingdom. All pieces are in a stunning white except, the coffee pot lid, the sugar bowl lid and the saucers. These pieces come in a very dark brown.
Portmeirion pottery with its impractically tall silhouette and primitive art decorations captured the mode of the sixties perfectly. Portmeirion's proprietor and designer, Susan Williams-Ellis brought new ideas to the world of ceramics. This set was based on ancient Minoan art from Crete and has the Portmeirrion, Susan William Ellis and Made in England stamped on the bottom of each piece.I have inspected each piece and was unable to identify and chips, cracks, repairs or glazing issues. 1 White Coffee Pot with 1 Dark Brown Lid. 11" tall without the lid, 12" tall with the lid, 4.25 diameter.
