This amazing porcelain tea set was designed for Rosenthal's Studio-Linie brand in the 1960s by the renowned architect and designer Walter Gropius, a founder of the Bauhaus School. Rosenthal called this tableware series "TAC, " after. Gropius' Boston office, The Architects Collaborative.
The simple, elegant design, the striking black glaze in both matte and gloss on the same piece and the high contrast of the white pieces, are as compelling as any tableware has ever been. The set includes a teapot (with filter insert), creamer, sugar bowl, 2 teacup and saucer sets, and two white dessert plates.
